Podravkaši čestitali Blanki na europskom zlatu

Svoju kolekciju medalja zbog koje joj se klanja cijeli atletski svijet Blanka Vlašić obogatila je i europskim zlatom. U samoj završnici europskog prvenstva u Barceloni nakon uzbudljive borbe Blanka je pobijedila s preskočena 203 centimetra ispred Šveđanke Emme Green i Njemice Ariane Friedrich koje su zastale na 201 centimetru.

Blanka se u Barceloni izdigla iznad svih svojih suparnica, posebice Tie Hellebaut koja je svojim igricama nastojala utjecati na mirnoću najbolje svjetske visašice, ali je pokazala da može pobijediti i kad joj baš ne ide. Naime Blanka je rušila letvicu na 195 i na 197 centimetara, čak je, kako je kasnije sama priznala, u jednom trenutku pomislila da se opet oprašta od europske medalje. No svoju pravu snagu i vrijednost pokazala je na visinama preko dva metra. Od prve je preskočila 201 centimetar, a u drugom pokušaju savladala je 203 što je ostalim protivnicama bilo nedostižno.

Prvu zlatnu medalju s europskih prvenstava Blanka je proslavila vrlo emotivno, a osjećaje sreće i zadovoljstva nije skrivala ni danas po dolasku u Split. U zračnoj luci uz članove obitelji dočekali su se predstavnici matičnog kluba, grada i Podravke. Riječi zahvalnosti u ime Studene koja je vjerni Blankin pratitelj već niz godina uputili su Ljubomir Barić i Maja Bulić, razveselivši prvakinju i buketom omiljenog cvijeća.

Istarska rajčica temelj za vrhunske proizvode Podravke

Hrvatska, točnije Istra s količinama proizvedene rajčice ne može konkurirati vodećim zemljama u proizvodnji „crvenog zlata“ kao što su Kalifornija, Kina, Italija, Iran i Španjolska, ali kvalitetom zasigurno može. Prerađena u kvalitetne proizvode Podravke može se predstaviti kao vrhunski izvorni proizvod kojeg će rado na svoje jelovnike staviti domaći ljudi, ali i turisti. To je najvažniji zaključak stručnog skupa na temu proizvodnje i prerade rajčice održanog u Umagu 5. kolovoza. Bio je to 13. po redu stručni skup koji je okupio najveće proizvođače rajčice s područja Istre te renomirane stručnjake iz Hrvatske i Italije, a kojeg su organizirali Podravka, Turistička zajednica Grada Umaga, Grad Umag, Istarska županija i Udruga proizvođača rajčice za preradu Pomidor.

Skup je prema tradiciji održan u tjednu u kojem započinje ovogodišnji otkup i prerada rajčice u Podravkinoj tvornici u Umagu tijekom koja će prema planovima otkupiti oko 7500 tona rajčice proizvedene u umaškom kraju te na poljima pored Pule. Kako je istakao dr Zdravko Matotan, Podravkin stručnjak koji ulaže golemu energiju i znanje u razvoj domaće poljoprivredne proizvodnje upravo činjenica da se rajčica iz okolice Umaga gdje ima stoljetnu tradiciju preselila na jug Istre potvrđuje da ova županija ima velike potencijale za unapređenje ove proizvodnje. To su prepoznali i Istarska županija i Grad Umag koji već nekoliko godina daju poticaje za ovu proizvodnju,a u posljednje vrijeme osiguraju i korištenje do sada zapuštenih površina negdašnjih vojnih ekonomija. Prema riječima gradonačelnika Umaga Vilija Basanessea ovaj grad podupire i izgradnju nove Podravkine tvornice za preradu rajčica koja bi svoja vrata trebala otvoriti za dvije godine.

Potporu svim projektima koji unapređuju proizvodnju i preradu rajčice na stručnom skupu dali su i Zoran Kovač predsjednik odbora za povrćarstvo Hrvatske poljoprivredne komore, te Graciano Prekalj zamjenik pročelnika za poljoprivredu Istarske županije. I dok su poljoprivrednici uz pomoć stručnjaka proučavali nova postignuća u uzgoju rajčice u Podravkinoj tvornici započela je prva prerada ovogodišnjeg uroda. Prema riječima direktorice Marine Visintin Diminić ulažu se maksimalni napori kako bi se u nepovoljnim vremenskim uvjetima preuzele sve količine rajčice dopremljene sa istarskih polja. Stalno zaposlenim radnicima pridodani su i sezonci, pa je za vjerovati da će se planirani poslovi obaviti u predviđenim rokovima.

A Umag, znan po tenisu i dobrim hotelima još će jednom biti i u znaku rajčice. Naime zbog nevremena otkazana je tradicionalna Fešta od rajčica, a novi termin bit će vjerojatno 27. Kolovoza.

Joseph Tot exhibited in Podravka's Klet

Mladen Pavkovic displays photos in Koprivnica Museum

In the premises of the Museum of the City of Koprivnica Monday, 2 August at 19 pm will be an exhibition of photographs of Podravka journalist and author Mladen Pavkovic - Famous front lens. Film Festival in Motovun
